Created for a group show curated by Laura Perez-Harris, (marionette)(cigarette) the art of illusion. This piece was a reaction to the outpour of energy and shared information that came in response to the BLM protests. Shapes cut from an Intaglio print, glued onto hand-dyed paper. Chain stitched arcs and rays of embroidered lines conjoin the geometric and organic forms.
