Etching I,
This course will address Intaglio processes of drypoint, hard and soft ground etching, and aquatint. Detailed demonstrations and handouts will be given out to guide the student through each process to build an image in line, texture, and tone. The student will create a printed edition of their plate as it evolves utilizing the various techniques.
June 12, 19, 26 and July 10

Etching II,
Etching II will build on the plate-making and printing techniques learned in Etching I to explore painterly plate-making techniques of sugar lift, white ground and spit bite. Advanced printing techniques including: color, multiple plate, selective wiping relief roll and chine collé will allow the student to create a variable edition of their plate.
